Family Day Care
The Family Day Care Food Program is a federally funded, nonprofit food program that provides healthy meals and snacks to infants and children up to 12 years old in child care centers, family day care homes, and outside school hours’ centers as well as eligible adults in adult care centers. The program reimburses licensed day care home providers for serving United States Department of Agriculture approved meals and snacks. The Alabama Department of Education administers the program and the US Department of Agriculture provides the funding for this program. Our agency monitors the Day Care Provider’s meals and snacks and provides them with reimbursement from the Alabama Department of Education.
